Laying guidelines

Steps for laying gravel with Green Ways® binders.

The stabilization of soil using Green Ways® solutions allows for the creation of eco-friendly and high-performance pavements, ensuring excellent wear resistance and reduced dust emissions. Below are general guidelines for proper laying; however, each project must be assessed and verified on-site and in the laboratory by specialized technicians.

Art Pave®: application method and procedures

  • Cover edges or delicate areas to prevent them from getting stained by the wet material.
  • Pour the dry gravel, with a particle size of 2 to 10 mm, into a pan mixer, adding the binder percentage determined in the laboratory, and mix until a homogeneous blend of the constituents is achieved.

  • Once mixing is complete, simply lay the treated material on the ground and, after positioning and screeding it, compact it using a manual roller weighing approximately 70 kg for the indicated thickness. For optimal laying, it is recommended to install edge restraints around the area before laying the treated gravel. Do not apply the binder in the presence of rain, high humidity, or on wet/damp surfaces.
  • Allow everything to dry for 72 hours before making it accessible to traffic.
